A Brief History

Kiwi School was created from an amalgamation of Kiwi Infant School and Wing Junior School in 1963. The school moved into the current building in 1965 and kept the Kiwi name which was taken from the emblem on Kiwi Hill behind the school. The new school was built at a cost of £90,000 with 11 classrooms.

In 2016 a brand new building to accommodate an increasing role was built. This consisted of 6 new classrooms and has become our Key Stage 2 Block.

In 2024 three classrooms in the main building were converted to a purpose build Resource Base which we call The Lakeside. This Wing of the school is adapted to meet the needs of children with Complex needs.
